How I got started: I developed a taste for spicy foods while in college. Since then I've enjoyed all varieties of peppers but most of all, habañeros. I used to frequent farmers markets when I'd pass them in my travels and I'd often purchased pepper jellies but rarely would I try one that was really delicious. My mother was very skilled about the kitchen. I'd often seen her make jam in my youth so, one day I asked her “Mom, how do you make jam?” She explained the basics to me. It was so simple. I went to the store, bought some raspberries and habañeros, sugar, pectin, and jars. That evening my wife and I were enjoying the most delicious jam we'd ever had. I shared jars with my friends and they too confirmed how good it was. I made it a regular practice to have it on hand.
